Salesforce Developer

Matrix Education is now hiring an experienced Salesforce Developer for a 12 month contract role. There will be an option for renewal at the end of the 12 months pending the status of the project.

As a Salesforce Developer, you will take end-to-end ownership of Salesforce at Matrix Education and be the primary contact point for all internal and external stakeholders.

This role reports directly to the Chief Project Officer and is ideal for an experienced technical developer analyst who is ready to take ownership of a product within an organisation.

What you’ll do…

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all Salesforce-related inquiries from stakeholders,
  • Configure Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, record types, and validation rules to meet business requirements,
  • Handle and prioritise support requests efficiently, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to business operations,
  • Design and implement scalable and sustainable Salesforce solutions to meet business needs,
  • Lead the development, testing and deployment of all upcoming user stories, ensuring alignment with business objectives,
  • Breaking work down into tasks and maintain accurate work progress in project management software (Jira/Trello).

What you’ll need…

  • Minimum two years’ experience designing, implementing and supporting Salesforce Solutions,
  • Minimum five  years’ of technical development experience,
  • Experience in customisation development of SF applications using Lightning, VisualForce, Apex, Triggers, and Flows,
  • Strong business analysis and functional experience, including requirements gathering, creating solutions and deployment of solutions to end users,
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills,
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and succinctly,
  • Self-starter who is willing and able to be hands on in working with internal stakeholders,
  • Understanding of and experience with Salesforce architecture and API.

Preferred, but not essential…

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in computer science, software engineering or information technology,
  • Salesforce certifications.
