Meet our subject matter experts

Mr Oak Ukritnukun

BEng(Hons) PhDc

Oak Ukritnukum is the Head of Secondary at Matrix Education. Whilst undertaking his honours year and PhD research, he taught and tutored undergraduate engineering, mechanics and advanced level subjects at the UNSW. Oak is the recipient of numerous awards including the UNSW Research Excellence Award and the Royal Warwick Slade Award. Oak has been teaching at Matrix Education since 2014.

Ms Joanna Kyprianou

BSc DipEd

Joanna is the Mathematics Coordinator at Matrix Education. She has had over 10 years’ experience in secondary teaching at schools, leading and training teachers, and authoring math resources. Joanna completed her Bachelor of Science and Diploma in Education at Macquarie University.

Dr Hope McManus

BLS(Hons) PhD

Hope completed her PhD in Linguistics at Rutgers University (USA) and is an English Coordinator of Matrix Education. She has been teaching English at Matrix since 2017.

Dr Brian McMahon

BA MSt MA PhD

Dr McMahon completed his PhD in English at Balliol College, University of Oxford (UK). Brian has been tutoring English, Politics and Drama since 2012 and delivered lectures and seminars to undergraduate students.

Dr Emma Lindley

BAdvSc(Hons) PhD

Emma is the Physics Coordinator at Matrix Education. Emma graduated from the University of Sydney with a PhD in Physics. Emma has had extensive Science teaching and tutoring experience since 2008 at USYD and through secondary schools and programs.

Ms Stephanie Momsen

BAdvSc DipEd

Stephanie is the Junior Science Coordinator at Matrix Education. Stephanie completed her Bachelor of Advanced Science at the University of Sydney and her Graduate Diploma in Education at UNSW. She has been teaching, tutoring and demonstrating Science at a secondary and tertiary level for over 10 years.

No, you don’t! We only ask that all guests register before attending.

Yes! Our ethos is to provide actionable academic advice to as many students and parents as possible.

We’d like our free seminars to help as many parents and students as possible. We ask that students and parents attend a maximum of 3 seminars, with only 1 parent per family each seminar.

Please only register for seminars covering your current grade to get the most relevant information for you. If the seminar does not match your current grade, your ticket may be void.

We will be confirming your attendance a week prior to the event. Please keep an eye out for this correspondence and respond to ensure your ticket is valid on the day!
