Matrix Education is hiring a Head of Primary Student Success to join us at our Sydney CBD Head Office.

As the Head of Primary Student Success, you will drive the strategic growth and development of the Primary department while ensuring the delivery of exceptional educational programs and offerings.

This role involves setting a clear vision for the department and taking full ownership of the faculty’s operations and growth strategy –  leading the design and implementation of innovative and high-quality courses that meet the evolving learning needs and goals of students and deliver on improving students’ learning outcomes while ensuring operational efficiency, and driving organisational growth.

 

What you’ll do…

  • Drive the growth of the department by identifying market opportunities, expanding program offerings, and enhancing the department’s competitive position.
  • Oversee the design, delivery and execution of stage 2 and 3 courses and programs.
  • Lead the development and delivery of innovative educational products and courses for term time and school holidays, aligned with industry trends, curriculum updates, and student demand, with the aim of improving student learning outcomes.
  • Reform the examination reporting and progress tracking process to deliver faster, clearer results with more actionable feedback for students and parents.
  • Overseeing classroom efficiencies and reporting – managing student to classroom ratios and retention strategies to ensure a smooth transition for students and teachers, term on term.
  • Lead a team of Primary academic and administrative staff.
  • Creating effective academic resources including theory books, homework books, quizzes, exams and online courses.
  • Determining the final form of any curriculum proposals and holiday program or events to execution and delivery.
  • Implementation of new technologies and automation to enhance the student and parent experience.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators for the department, including enrolment, retention, and graduate outcomes.
  • Conduct individual parent consultations to collaboratively set strategies to help students achieve their academic goals.
  • Ensure effective resource allocation, including staff, facilities, and equipment.
  • Represent, build relationships and uphold the reputation of Matrix Education within the local community, schools, universities and educational bodies.

 

What you’ll need…

  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Education or a related degree.
  • Minimum two years’ previous experience in senior management of educational staff.
  • Proven experience in leading academic teams and delivering strategic growth.
  • Experience in developing and implementing innovative academic programs.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving enrolment and revenue targets.
  • Experience in budget management, financial planning, and resource allocation.
  • Extensive knowledge of the current NESA stage 2 and 3 syllabus.
  • Thorough knowledge of the methods of assessment, student learning styles and effective methods of lesson delivery.
